7 Tips on How to Get Rid of Distractions

1. Break down your project into small parts. It's not enough to make a list of priorities like "Build the company's website," "Increase sales," "Create an employee benefits program," etc. You need to specify each of these priorities into small tasks so that you know the next step to take in each case. This way, you can establish a schedule and set each project in motion.

 

2. Avoid doing multiple things at once. Resist the temptation to have email, Facebook, Twitter, and ten other windows open at the same time. The famous multitasking is extremely detrimental to work. 3. Eliminate distractions. Determine your schedule early in the morning and stick to what you've determined, as much as possible. Many people start the day by reading emails and go crazy trying to solve everything at the same time. Make your daily schedule and leave the emails for later.

 

7. Take a break every 90 minutes. It's proven: your brain consumes more glucose than any other part of your body. After about an hour, your energy supply will be depleted. It's no wonder people get tired after long meetings. The ideal is to take a break every 90 minutes and recharge: eat something, talk, enjoy the scenery (if there is one). It's good for your brain and for your company.
